The very first signs of pregnancy.

Nipple tenderness

Breast changes occur in different ways, some notice an increase in nipple sensitivity almost immediately. A woman may complain of itching in the areola area, swelling and induration of the mammary glands. The breasts become sensitive to even a slight drop in air temperature, the nipples begin to react painfully to the cold. In some, the enlargement and sensitivity of the mammary glands occurs later, the pigmentation gradually increases, the color of the areola becomes dark brown.

Implantation bleeding

Most implantation is completely invisible, but sometimes it manifests itself as a small pinkish discharge. Implantation bleeding occurs 6-12 days after fertilization - at this time, the future embryo is introduced into the body of the uterus. This symptom is often mistaken for the onset of menstruation, but a new cycle never occurs.

The earliest signs of pregnancy are not very pronounced and can be easily confused with symptoms of impending menstruation. The most reliable way would be to measure the basal temperature, but you will have to schedule it in advance. With successful fertilization, the temperature will continue to stay at around 37, but a decrease in it will indicate that there is no pregnancy, and the body is preparing for a new cycle.

What to do if you suspect pregnancy?

If symptoms indicate pregnancy, even the most impatient will have to wait a bit. The test will be informative only when a delay occurs, and a convenient express strip will not always show the correct result at the earliest possible date - the level of hormones may still be insufficient for a reaction. A blood test for the level of hCG, which is done in the clinic and is the most informative, is able to dispel doubts. The dynamics of the hCG level will make sure that the pregnancy is developing, and a transvaginal ultrasound will show that the embryo is fixed correctly. By 6-7 weeks, ultrasound will respond to the first heartbeat, tell you that the fetus is growing in accordance with the timing, and will allow you to adjust the expected date of birth.
