It is used to produce electrical insulating casings, artificial leather, gramophone records and floor coverings in the form of linoleum. The products emitted from the combustion of PVC are highly toxic.

Polystyrene. A thin strip of this plastic bends easily and then breaks with a bang. Examples of such products are yoghurt cups, disposable tableware components.
