Difference between permanent makeup and tattooing

Undoubtedly, properly applied makeup adds beauty, and it is rare for a woman to miss the opportunity to improve her appearance with such a simple method. But for those who are allergic to decorative cosmetics or are unable to make a complex make-up every day, there is a great opportunity to become more attractive - tattoo or permanent makeup. Both of these methods will allow you to permanently correct facial features and forget about pencils and lipstick. But what is the difference between permanent makeup and tattooing? You need to figure it out.

Beauty without hassle

Both of these cosmetic procedures when performed correctly make the face more expressive and brighter, and this brightness does not need to be updated daily.

During permanent make-up under the skin, using special equipment, the master injects natural pigments, selected so that the face looks natural. Undoubtedly, such a procedure requires a lot of experience and accuracy, because you cannot wash away mistakes, they will remind you of yourself for a long time. Most often, with the use of permanent makeup, arrows are drawn on the eyelid, along the line of growth of the eyelashes - this adds expressiveness to the eyes. Changing the shape of the eyebrows and adding pigment to them is also popular. They also work with lips - make them bright and well-defined.

But what is the difference between permanent makeup and tattooing? It can be assumed that these procedures are similar. And so it is.

In tattooing, more persistent chemical pigments are used, and they are injected deeper. More often it is done on the body, not on the face. Various drawings, with or without meaning, look like a real work of art and adorn their wearers. But this applies only to the works of experienced craftsmen, true artists. Tattoos on the face in order to give expressiveness to the features are not done very often - primarily due to the difficulty of removing without a trace. So you need to be careful with facial tattooing - it will not come off in a few years, like permanent makeup. Most likely, the tattoo will remain forever, so its shape and color should be chosen very carefully.

Comparison

Despite the similarity of these procedures, there are also significant differences.

Depth of application

The main difference between permanent makeup and tattooing is the depth to which the needle of the master will penetrate. If in the first procedure it is small - only about half a millimeter, then in the second it is much more, up to one and a half millimeters. This affects the duration of the result.

Time of color and pattern retention

Permanent makeup lasts on the eyelids and eyebrows for an average of 3-4 years, and on the lips, where the processes of skin renewal are faster, - 2-3 years. After this period, it requires updating. The tattoo will remain forever. Therefore, it is rarely used on the face.

Place of application

Permanent make-up is preferable to do on the body precisely because of its durability. After all, if an inaccurate tattoo in a closed area can be disguised with clothes or removed, leaving small scars, then the face does not forgive such mistakes. Therefore, it is better to apply permanent makeup here.

Pigments used

For permanent tattooing, mainly synthetic dyes with various additives are used, for which time will not have a special effect. But with permanent makeup, natural pigments are used, they dissolve over time.
